I take been looking at it. It has SIM options, telephony options, APN settings.
I have already removed the bloatware from my OP, only there are organisation files in there that control things like which SIMS are accustomed, which features are enabled similar the default network, whether wifi calling is enabled, etc.
and you are not really freeing up whatever infinite, cuz the OP partition can't exist used for full general storage.
You tin can use information technology to shop bootanimation, however.
the media folder contains the fallback or failsafe bootanimation if the chief bootanimation is not available.

Yah that'south what I did. I don't have an issue however with anything that y'all say might happen. I've been able to utilize everything as is without it.

Yah that's what I did. I don't accept an issue notwithstanding with anything that yous say might happen. I've been able to employ everything as is without information technology.
Disabling encryption was much more difficult with Oreo too. I had to make several changes to the system partition. Under Nougat, I simply had to change the kicking image..

How long should it take for the rom to boot up afterwards flash? I just ask considering I flashed your newest Oreov4 with MM and I waited about 20 min but information technology never booted. I'm going to try the other versions like the Oreov4 w/o MM.

Edit:

The rom isn't going into the boot animation that yous have. It stays on the LG Life'southward Good until I remove the battery. I remember peradventure the reason is considering I am trying to upgrade from the V10f firmware. Also I noticed that the boot animation is being placed in a folder that no longer exists on my phone. I deleted everything in the OP Folders with no mercy because none of information technology was practiced. I'thou going to download a flashable boot blitheness and come across if it volition correct the error.

I also have been stuck on LG logo afterward flashing v2 (Oreo) for my Aristo 2 plus, but doesn't get anywhere. TWRP works fine, no bug with partitions, etc.

Is but flashing a new kicking animation the style to get this to boot?

---

Thanks Tecknight for all the efforts and guides, very thorough. But haven't been able to meet root at all on my A2P (Tmobile), whether on Nougat or Oreo.

Okay so something weird I should tell yous almost. I flashed all of them later wiping my system. And for some reason at that place all booting upwards no problem. I think that possibly since my system.img and firmware is fitted with Oreo it's non giving any fault. Likewise it might be from the TWRP Version! I simply thought well-nigh that! I updated TWRP and everything started upwardly fine! Do you recollect it has to do with TWRP 3.ii.one.0? Get back to me quickly, please!

When i turn the hot spot on it lingers like it's on but freezes it doesn't actually activate....when i back out of it to go dorsum and see if information technology stock-still it self it'south off like i never tried to plow information technology on at all....when i tried turning it on again i left it to see if it would fix itself without touching it hoping that it would somewhen turn on but information technology remained like it was frozen for several minutes and the hotspot never activates it just turns back off without activating

I've fastened the file that was created.

Are y'all sure y'all did your failed system boot just before yous booted into TWRP and ran the disrec.cipher script ?
Cuz the previous kernel log (that should be the failed system boot) looks like a TWRP kick as well ?
  • #234
Are you certain you did your failed system kicking merely before you booted into TWRP and ran the disrec.zip script ?
Cuz the previous kernel log (that should be the failed system boot) looks like a TWRP boot also ?

Yes, I allowed the system to boot afterwards installing the script. I allow it stay for many minutes, and it did not go past the boot logo (LG stock logo). And so I pulled the battery, booted into TWRP, found the file in the /external_sd folder as you directed. That is the 1 I attached. Keep in mind, I do not take an SD bill of fare installed, but the file was nowadays in the directory. Does that mean the script only installs to an external source, or tin can it write to the internal storage?

The script doesn't really install, it but runs and captures a bunch of information to the external SD card.
You should permit the arrangement to attempt to kicking before running the script.
That's why I said:
iii. Endeavor to boot to android (unsuccessfully)
four. boot to twrp, select Install, then browse to disrec.nix and install it.
and aye, it only records it's information if an external SD card is present.
The critical info I am looking for in your case is the previous kernel log from the boot previous to when you ran the script.
This should incorporate information about the failed kicking.
If you could run it again later on the failed Android boot, I would capeesh it.
Thanks very much

Ok, I'll have to obtain an sdcard and so. I too had trouble rooting Nougat as well, which I don't know why. I am cursed not to use my Aristo 2 Plus to its potential, I guess!

But seriously, I will try to do your suggestions. Thanks friend!

Ok, I'll accept to obtain an sdcard then. I as well had trouble rooting Nougat as well, which I don't know why. I am cursed non to utilize my Aristo ii Plus to its potential, I gauge!

Merely seriously, I will try to do your suggestions. Thanks friend!

I just re-engineered the script.
download information technology here:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=11410963190603895154
I will now work whether you have an external SD or not.
If you lot practise not then run the script and then upload:
/cache/dr/drfulllog.tar.gz
if y'all have an external sd then upload:
/external_sd/dr/drfulllog.tar.gz

I was reading and for a 2d there I had the idea to rengineer the script existent quick and reupload it. But of course you got to it commencement:laugh:.
So permit me support a sec. The TWRP I had installed was iii.two.one.0. I was only able to get 1 of the iii ROM's to boot while using that version. Then I installed your new version, TWRP 3.2.iii.0 and tried to wink them yesterday. 3 of 3 booted up. I wasn't expecting that only what would you suggest I do to figure out what the outcome was? I was thinking of installing the Nougat firmware once more with TWRP 3.2.1.0, and try the steps to upgrade to Oreo Firmware.

Some other question. What version of the .img's practice y'all use on y'all Oreo Firmware Update? Are they Nougat with Oreo Boot, System, and Recovery? Or is it all Oreo with with custom Boot, Arrangement, and Recovery?

I will now piece of work whether you accept an external SD or not.
If you practise not and then run the script so upload:
/enshroud/dr/drfulllog.tar.gz
if yous have an external sd and then upload:
/external_sd/dr/drfulllog.tar.gz

I tried again on a different Aristo 2 Plus: started by flashing 10k kdz through LGUP, then flashed the latest TWRP (your Oreo kernel based i). And so formatted partitions, and so wiped them for good measure. And so I installed your pre-rooted Oreo v2 rom for the A2P. This was successful as per the TWRP log. Then booted again, and aforementioned upshot as earlier: stuck on LG Logo, with zippo else happening.

I then rebooted back to TWRP, installed your updated script, pulled the file from the /cache binder, and am uploading it. I promise that can aid. Await forward to having root!

Just equally a quick update: I left the rooted Oreo rom to boot for almost 2 hours, never left the LG Logo screen; no reboot, no flicker, null.

EDIT: More interesting developments. I figured I'd try the rooted MPCS Oreo rom, and it installed and booted correct away. Gave me a Tmobile kick blitheness, shows as model 212MA. No sign of MPCS on the phone, but Tmobile folder and apps nowadays. Magisk Manager says Magisk not installed. Gonna try to install root. Mind yous this is all without any sim card put in.

EDIT two: Root installed with flashable Magisk 18. Superuser working. Possibly something going on with the A2P rooted rom, only this 1 is working (yay!). Thank you Techknight, will continue to play effectually, let yous know if anything new.

EDIT 3: Okay, kinda letdown with Aristo 2 Plus. Unfortunately, the reason for me rooting (Substratum) refuses to theme anything, despite root access. Just it was fun tinkering, and learning some things forth the style. Cheers to Tech, Atom, et al for the assist and adept readings. All the best! What would exist the fashion of gaining some control over theming this device? Is AOSP the but style to have substratum working, or tin its commits be put into the custom stock rom?

Edit 4923: Okay, and then I cant get service on my Tmo because the mpcs rom thinks im network locked. Whatever bypass on this? Or i gauge I have to go back to stock until rooted A2P set. Cheers for reading all this.
